Carmela y Más is a band featuring a kaleidoscope of Afro-Cuban and Latin-Caribbean rhythms, delivered in electrifying musical performances. The band originated under the artistic design of Carmela Ramirez and Rebecca Kennell and celebrates over 30 years of making music. The music features Afro-Cuban, Salsa, Merengue and Cha-Cha rhythms to traditional and fusion stylings of Latin Jazz. The band also pays homage to artists such as Dizzy Gillespie and Celia Cruz, two icons who helped format Latin Jazz and Latin Salsa as we know it today.
